Sooo, was chatting to a close member of my family today, just catching up with the news because we live in another country and I ring regularly to keep up to date. They know about SD and what she is capable of, as they've known for years. They could not believe that DH is still throwing money at her, still believing all the crap, and happily paddling down his river in Egypt ( you know the one I mean.... DENIAL !!)
Convo included snippets like this....

CR ( close relative ) What SD is coming out to visit you, how can she afford that???
ME DH is paying for it all
CR. WHATTTTT ?????

CR. Did SD get into College then ??
ME. Yes eventually found one ( her grades were not as good and she had to change her options )

CR Which one?
ME. Well I can tell you the name, but SD never told us the address She has moved in with the new duped bf now though....
CR. Where ??
ME. DH doesn't know the address SD won't tell us.
CR. WHATTT??? DH is still supporting her ???
ME. Yessss

As you can imagine they were surprised......but the most interesting part was when they asked me what I was doing about it and I said......nothing, I am DISENGAGING from the whole DH situation. I said it out loud, to someone other than my DH, well I didn't used those exact words with him, but it was the same....
And lordy, did I feel a HUGE amount of release........hope this doesn't sound too silly!!!
