SD7 sick this weekend

SMof2Girls's picture

Not a big deal; kids get sick. She had a sniffle when DH picked her up from school Friday which sort of went downhill Saturday. Fever, stuffy nose, etc.

DH drops them back off to BM on Sunday evenings. Every weekend we have to fight SD7 to go. She cries, pouts, begs, etc to stay. DH feels bad, but the CO is what it is for the time being and they have to go.

This Sunday was no exception.

DH gets out of the car and tells BM, "SD7 has had a fever off and on all weekend. IT's been manageable with Motrin; had her last dose at 5pm".

SD7 then gets out of the car (after much coaxing by me) and walks over to BM. BM (who is holding her 1yo son), looks at SD7 says, "Don't breathe on me or your brother", grabs SD8's hand, and walks back to her car .. leaving SD7 to trail behind with her head hung down.

I know it's probably not a big deal, but I just felt bad for her. Sad

Man, that's rough. I understand asking her not to get in their faces (like kissing or hugging - we do that for SD6), but breathing?? Poor girl :O

the sad part of divorce is when the skids get shuffled back and forth. and who gets kicked? the sms.

i recall mil telling me when the skids were very young and still in nappies. dh and mil went to pick skids up. one of the skids was very sick and it was snowing outside. bm dropped the skids off and did not even look concerned or looked back.

and sms have the bad rap.
