OT- Please say a prayer for my dog Pepper

I know this is off topic, but I had to put my dog Pepper in the hospital. She has been real sick the last week I thought she was constipated, but she has not been eating or drinking and getting sick..very lethargic. I should have taken her sooner but again I thought she was constipated. She has pancreatis which means she can not digest her food because her pancreas isnt working correctly. She will be in the hospital for at least a week and on fluids and a catherter. She is only 7 years old schnauzer and a sweetie.

Please say a prayer for Pepper.

I feel your pain. My fur babies are like my children (when they're not turning over the garbage can or tearing up things! lol). I love them dearly so I know how hard this is for you. I will say a prayer for Pepper and you too!

I'm so sorry about your little dog - I'm an animal lover and have two small furball Shih Tzu's. I just can't stand it when one of them gets sick. Since I have no biokids, these two little monsters are my kids - they're short,hairy, speech-challenged and walk on all fours and I love them to death - they've always been there for me when no one else was - just because they can't talk doesn't mean they don't understand when I'm sad or just need to chill. Pepper will be in my prayers, and you too!

I don't have no bio kids either and my doggies are my babies! She is in so much pain! I feel terrible for her. Doctor called this morning to say he didnt thinks he was gonna make it! :O
Then he called just now and said she made it through the night but still is in danger! I didnt have the three thousand dollars to save her but my mom stepped in and charged it!! Thank God for her!

I'll say a prayer for an animal any day..

Animals are so loyal and faithful true friends/companions unlike some people. When all others have turned their back on you and your all alone your pet will always be by your side. I can't imagine going though life with out a loyal companion. Pepper will be in my prayers.

would love her! Everyone wants MY dog! She is more human than anything! I wish she could talk! I wish she could have told me that she wasn't constipated but REALLY REALLY SICK! But God willing she will pull through.

I had to put my best friend Dexter to sleep, he was the sweetest 12 year old baby that i ever had. he saw me thru my horrible marriage then divorce, he never stopped loving me even when everyone else did...my heart breaks for you I hope Pepper is able to pull thru.

Pepper is about to go in for surgery!

the doctor just called and her uterus has an infection?? He has to basically perform a hysterectomy!!! he says the prognosis is good and she should be out ina few days! YEAH! YIPEE!!

I'm **soo** very happy that things are looking better for you & Pepper!!! It's terrible, but I have more compassion for the furry 4 leggers than any kid any day (especially since I don't have any of my own) You guys hang in there, I'm so glad they figured it out & it's not as bad as once thought.

this is my fault too. I should have had her spaded!! I've been reading and it says a prevention would have been to have the dog spaded! I'm a bad Mommy!

This is really cute, and I have shared it with a few of you on ST, but I thought you all might enjoy it. Feel free to change the breed to whatever suits your furbaby.

However, a word of warning - when I posted this on myspace blog, my SD's swore I wrote it about them - lol!! They went crying and screaming to my DH & his family - none of whom ever even read the damn thing - but proceeded to ream me about what a horrible person I was to write this about the their precious kids and grandkids! I only wish I could take credit for writing it - it's really hilarious - (and true!)but one of my friends emailed to me in 2003 - long before I ever met my DH!!! Enjoy!!

The Shih Tzu Shuffle

Dear Dogs ~

When I say to move, it means go someplace else, not switch positions with each other so there are still two of you in the way.

The dishes with paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. (Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate & food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food & dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.)

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king size bed; I am sorry about this. Do not think I will continue to sleep on the couch to ensure your comfort. Look at videos of dogs and cats sleeping - they actually curl up in a ball. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. (I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space used is nothing but sarcasm.)

My compact discs are not Frisbees, nor are the Rubbermaid container lids.

For the last time, there is NOT a secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, try to turn the knob, or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. (In addition, I have been using the bathroom for years....canine attendance is not mandatory.)

The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dogs butt. I cannot stress this enough. It would be such a simple change for you.

Rules for NON-PET owners who visit and like to complain about our pets:

1. They live here; you don't.

2. If you don't want their hair on you clothes, stay off the furniture.

3. I like my pet better than I like some people.

4. To you it's an animal. To me he or she is an adopted son or daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and is speech challenged.

Dogs are better than kids. They eat less, don't ask for money all the time, are easier to train, usually come when called, never drive your car, don't hang out with drug using friends, don't smoke or drink, don't worry about buying the latest fashions, don't wear your clothes, don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and if they get pregnant, you can sell the results.

Actually I have two dogs a West Highland terrier and my Schnauzer and YES they sleep with me and Yes they hog my King size bed!
And YES they are on my furniture and YES people complain..But you know what!! They are my babies and its my house and my bed and if you don't like you can leave!!

Ah

Glad to hear your fur baby is on the mend. I have my little furry angel here by my side (cute little tabby cat). I had a chat with her earlier and told her about Pepper and how we had to send our love and positive thoughts so I hope we helped in some small way.

I do feel that fur-kind are connected. When my cat went missing 18 months' ago another neighbourhood cat used to come along and help us look for her - he was so sweet.

Good to hear I am not the only one that loves my fur baby best - probably even more than DH if I'm honest. LOL! Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than having kids. i sometimes say that if the only way I could have a cat was to give birth to it then I would. However, if it was kids at the end of the gestation then I would pass!!!
