How to let down clingy sd19 down nicely lol

Stepdad.uk's picture

Hi,

There are times when a man, an adult, a parent likes to be alone. Im stepdad to 3 and have one ds7 of my own.

My alone time of choice is after 12am, I work as a delivery driver and come home about 9pm, morning are spent "homeschooling" and just general Dad duties..... However, during this lockdown, sd19 has been sleeping until 3am etc and likes to just come and sit with me at 1am.

I mean bless her heart, but please for the love of god, I didnt get a moment to myself all day.

How can I let her down lightly to leave me alone and go away! Lol

Thanks

SD I need some alone time. I don't mind you staying up, but can you hang out in your room please.

Yes, I think you need to just be honest and tell her that you have a demanding job involving public contact, and need some alone time to recharge.

This quarantine stuff is getting old for all of us and we all need a little "me" time!
