Getting ready to go on vacation

We are leaving to go to the beach for a week tonight and I not looking forward to it at all! So fat whiny step kids have spent the day playing video games while I have busted my butt trying to get my job done. I have not thought about packing yet. If FDH thinks I am packing one thing for those kids, he is nuts.
I know my entire week will be filled with whiny, complaining and doing only what Skids want to do, mainly FSS12. Because FDH revolves his world around him.
I so wish I did not have to waste my time off miserable.

Lol, I actually asked FDH earlier if I could stay home! He just looked at me like I was crazy.

Nope there is NO way I would go on a vacation that is just for the skids! We went to Co last year and I told dh that if he thought he was going to do things just with the kids and what they want then he could sleep by himself in a different room! I told him that we can carve out time for them as well as us. Why do these people think that their kids are the only ones that have feelings!! :? :? :? :? :?

AT 12 my kids and skids were old enough to pack, we have only takes 2 trips as a family - and won't have to experience that again. SD packed 8 pair of shoes for 3 days! And a full overnight carrier of books for the drive (10 hours? ).......

The next trip was 2 yrs later to D.C. for a long weekend, she was so out of shape she had a hard time keeping up and was ticked......my brother and I both are "long legged" with long strides. It was an easy pace for us.

If DH makes the trip about the kids and what they want..........sit on the beach with an umbrella drink and a good book. I would kill for a week vacation right now! SK/ DK related. I just want the time off. I would start working on ways to decline going off on the activity - say wow that sounds like fun but I am really exhausted, why don't I stay here and you guys can tell me all about it when you get back, I just need some relaxing time.
