Getting custody of SS who has behavior problems

:? I have 3 step children. The oldest, my 10 year old SS will be moving in with us by the summer. He has behavior problems, hitting and raging out. Unsure how to be a stepparent, what needs to be done, etc. I know he does this for attention which he doesn't get at home. Help please, any advice!??

You stay the hell out of it. You do NOT want to own this. Your husband needs to parent his child. Additionally go see a remedial therapist or counselor to assist both of you on how to set boundaries and consequences that need to be consistently reinforced.

You cannot decide today SS may leave carrots but next week he has to. If today he doesn't have to, then he never has to. If today he has to, then next week he has to. Lastly lots of counseling for all of you too adjust to this.

I am so deeply sorry for you.
