I'm glad it worked out as it should have. I'm continuously surprised that people think they can walk into a court room and every one will believe them. Even if you didn't have phone records it would just be his word against yours and no judge is going to punish someone based on that.

Of course lawyers always tell their client they'll win. My poor ex-wife stayed out of jail only because I realized she had finally learned her lesson and I withheld one submission - a reference to a previous court order.

Have your attorney write him a letter stating that next time he tries this you intend to counter sue for money damages.

Love this... we are going to court in the next month and BM is always lying.... then she constantly calls DH a liar, dishonest etc... I made it clear to him that if he only communicated with her via email he would have a leg to stand on in court. For the last year and a half it has been nothing but email... BM HATES it!! She hates that there is a record of their communication, she hates it that she can't catch him off guard and get him to agree to something that he regrets because she is manipulating him. Email is awesome for that. She writes almost every day how she wants to speak with him on the phone and thinks email is wrong, but in the same email calls him a liar. Another reason DH got away from telephone talk is that BM would scream and yell obscenities at him if he didn't do as she wanted and she would behave this way when their son was sitting right next to her. This undermines DH's relationship with his 6 year old son. I can't wait to go to court, because she forgets what she wrote, is too lazy to read through everything before her court response, and most importantly, is such a narcissist that she thinks because she says something is true everyone will believe it, even if we have emails that clearly prove she is lying.

My husband's ex filed for contempt over phone contact too. She said she tried to call the kids 3 times a week for years with no answer from us. She's an idiot. When we got into court husband's lawyer submitted years of phone records with maybe 5 incoming calls from her. Our lawyer played her like a fiddle. She perjured herself on the stand and the judge stopped her from testifying and dismissed the case.
