Oops
I slept with EX last night. No excuses, no apologies. I just did and afterward I felt oddly...content? Like maybe it was closure or something?
It wasn't great or earthshattering or anything...I didn't think, "Wow, why did we ever split up?!", but for the first time in a WHILE I actually felt like I had control, because he was coming on SUPER strong and I was just sort of like "whatever". And it was really, really nice to feel something other than the naggy, bitchy wife in his eyes. I know I shouldn't care, and to be honest, I don't all that much, but it was just strangely empowering.
Anyone else have this experience?

lol
haven't been there in a while, years actually, but i do know what you mean by 'empowering.' my initial feeling of power led me to falling back into love with the guy (now dh). but i guess that was because the love never really went away, you know? love is tricky, tricky.
do what your heart tells you. that's all the advice i have!
good luck!
forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.
No, but I can understand it.
Ambivalence is the goal. If you're there, then good for you!

Been There
Done him burned the Tshirt LOL. That is how I kept being dragged back into a relationship with my ex fiance who was just plain mean to me.
I know how the heart gets you in trouble and obviously you still care about him. Krissy remember the bad times with him. Trust me it never gets better. I actually went to therapy because I kept going back to this mean Fiance. Turns out I was in a verbally abusive relationship and I keep going back because the good times were so good. I began to live for the little bit of good times we had when we made up. It was a waste of time because eventually everything goes right back to the same misery as before or worse.
We have needs too..
I agree with everyone else though too. Once the emotional attachment is gone only then will you find your glove that fits.. But I understand woman have needs too.. Sex makes you feel content or at least I know for hubby and I we always sleep a lot better.. LOL..
I can't wait till you find the right glove though, why you ask? Because when you have the right fit, it makes the bedroom Earth Shattering. So good luck... LOL.. Have a great day..

LOL...okay, glad I'm not
LOL...okay, glad I'm not alone here! No worries about emotional attachments. I cannot imagine ever going back to that relationship...I'd rather be alone forever than deal with him again on a regular basis. It was more than just not getting along or fighting, we have a major communication problem and our views on life are SO different. I have returned to old boyrfriends when lonely in the past, forgetting the bad times, but in this case, I know that what I want in life cannot ever be achieved as long as I am in a relationship with EX. It was definitely good closure for me.
So glad you found your closure Krissy!!
Lovers do not finally meet somewhere, they were with each other all along.
So often in life, so many people cannot find the closure they need and it leads to making the same wrong choices and the same misinformed decisions that made their lives hell to begin with. Finding the closure not only helps us to move on but gives us the insight to make better decisions for our futures. Good Luck in all you endeavor to do lady!
