Go to the store or say well too late.

SS teacher emails this afternoon after school about how tomorrow is the party for valentines day and that parents should send kids with a treat. DH email asking this a few days ago and received no response. I have plans for dinner so DH has the kids and we all know how going to the store with a toddler can be. Not to mention it is for some sweet said toddler doesn't get to eat.
If you were in my position of running to a store last minute for your SS that was not your our SS's fault would you do it?
P.S. Can I send a bag of carrots as a snack?
Haha probably no on the
Haha probably no on the carrots Maybe stop into a fast food place and pick up a couple dozen cookies on the way to school tomorrow?

Thanks I guess I did want some candy myself so off to the store I go.
Our teachers recommend
Our teachers recommend carrots, apple bites, or popcorn. anything NON-sweet.
You have to get special permission to bring cup cakes, brownies or sweet treats for a party or birthday treat.
We usually send carrot sticks with little dip cups and a bottle or ranch dressing.
I wouldn't run to the store, i wouldnt run to the store, I would have DH do it, his kid.
I would do it. Wouldn't go on
I would do it. Wouldn't go on a big shopping trip though--the gas station convenience store or Dollar General for a single item last-minute purchase with a toddler tagging along.
I would go. Make a quick
I would go. Make a quick stop, grab something.
No I would not . Stuff like
No I would not . Stuff like this is DH's responsibility . If he forgot , oh well, the skids would go to school without a " treat . Life will surely go on .
The teacher didn't tell
The teacher didn't tell parents till tonight
I'm a teacher and I will be
I'm a teacher and I will be making a Target run for a few bags of candy tonight. And yup, I sent out a class Dojo about 30 minutes ago asking the parents to send in some candy tomorrow if they can.
Go to store and grab a bag of candy for the kid. It will only take a few minutes.
Is there a reason that you
Is there a reason that you waited until 30 minutes ago? You are a very reasonable person so there must be a good explanation about the last minute stuff.
I was not going to do candy,
I was not going to do candy, just gift bags (crayons, pencils, mad libs...) because my students have been off the wall for the last two weeks. The no candy was going to be a punishment for the new gray hairs I have. My niece10 was helping me pack the gift bags and made me feel bad about not including candy this time (I give my students gift bags for each holiday). After listening to her rant, I changed my mind.
Not every kid has to bring in
Not every kid has to bring in something to eat. Unless it's an ultra small class I'd skip sending something. They will have more than enough.
As long as he has cards (if he wants to bring them) he's fine.
If I wanted to get something the night before, I'd stop at the dollar store and get pencils. $3 would cover it. One pencil per kid.
