Someone jumped on the crazy train this week!!
So yesterday I was accused, by BM, of sending "too healthy" of a lunch to for SS and then this morning I was screamed at for bringing SS to school, because he didn't have school (even though he did).
LUNCH:
So SS asks me to pack him a lunch for school at least once a week (I take him to school because DH has to be at work at 4 am - and then DH picks him up). When he first started asking, we were unprepared and sometimes had to turn him down because I didn't feel we had enough to give him. So DH and I started making sure that we had lunch items on hand each week. I don't feel like I give him all that healthy of a lunch (a sandwich with his meat of choice, juice box, chips and an apple - occasionally I'll throw in a treat). Nothing special, it takes me less than 5 minutes to prepare. So when she called up DH yesterday and was freaking out about me sending "too healthy" of a lunch I was a little confused. We found out later from SS that BM had packed him a lunch earlier this week, for the first time, and it included a Nutella sandwich, infant cookies and a fruit roll-up and apparently SS let her know that it wasn't enough food. So I let it slide, I tried to sympathize to the fact that having her child compare the lunch I send and the lunch she sends, isn't desirable. Whatever, I moved on, but I'm surely not going to pack him less food just because she feels threatened.
As for today....for the very first time....I screamed at BM and hung up on her. I am typically very cordial with her, but today I was NOT having it.
Earlier this week I got an email from the school looking for volunteers for their activity day, today. BM had mentioned to DH a few weeks ago, that she wanted to be more involved in SS's school so I had DH forward it to her. She then reached out to me letting me know that she was going to volunteer, so I didn't have to and all was right with the world. SS was very excited she was volunteering and everything. Last night I asked her how I should write the note for today (we alternate Friday's so I have to send a note to school every Friday stating if he rides the bus or is going to be picked up) and since she was going to be at school I didn't know if she was planning on staying until the end of the day. She confirmed that he should ride the bus and that was that.
So when she called me this morning on my way to work, I answered (I typically don't answer her calls because I don't like talking to her on the phone - and I try to keep it text only, if it's absolutely necessary we talk at all) but since I don't usually get calls from her in the morning, I answered. She was very aggravated and asked me where SS was, I told her I had just dropped him off at school and she asked me why. I was a little confused by the question and said I don't understand... She then started yelling, saying he didn't have school today, why would you just leave him there if no one was there! I tried to stay calm and reminded her that there was school today and today was the day she was volunteering at his school. There was a pause and then more screaming of which I could hardly understand...after the screaming continued for a bit, I lost my cool and finally yelled back "If you can't have a civil conversation with me, then this conversation is OVER!" and I hung up. She continued to call me back three more times, of which I didn't answer, and then a few minutes later I got a call from DH wondering what the hell was going on. Apparently she called him at his work and was screaming at him too about how I was rude to her, etc. and he eventually had to hang up on her too.
I'm not too sure what in the hell that was all about, must be a full moon or something. I'm sure there is going to be some serious pay back for yelling and hanging up. I tolerate a lot from her, but being screamed at it NOT something I'm willing to tolerate. I told DH that I think it's best I go back to NOT talking to her. We moved to her town to be closer to SS and therefore we started seeing each other more, so I was trying to put my best foot forward and be nice, but after today's display it was clearly a bad idea!!! Lesson Learned!
I would suggest maybe using
I would suggest maybe using our family wizard or some other comparenting software that is free or low cost. I would inform her in a business like manner that all direct communication is over.
gice the kid some lunch money and problem solved. If she doesn't like it then she can drop off a lunch. Sounds to me like she is just being controlling and crazy.
Did she manage to show up for
Did she manage to show up for her volunteer gig?
I don't know....I really hope
I don't know....I really hope so because SS was SOOOOO excited. He goes to her house this weekend too, so we won't know until he comes back.
Update us when you find out.

I just talked to my DH and he
I just talked to my DH and he said she was posting pics on FB, so she did make it. I'm really glad! He would have been so disappointed, and he's had enough of that.
Maybe she had to spill all
Maybe she had to spill all her free floating rage on you two before she went so she could take the strain of appearing sane in public while she volunteered. That's what I'm going with!
I love it!
I love it!

The more I read this stuff,
The more I read this stuff, the more I have to wonder why sooooooooooo many women are ThisFuckedUp!!! Holy crap - that's really just something else. Beyond the absolute insanity - don't these women have any pride? Or actual Lives??? The day I waste 2 minutes of my time freaking out over lunch, is the day someone should put me out of my misery.
Seems like some people don't know what a real problem is and just aren't happy until they find something to bitch about. Life is just way too short for this shit.
You bared her ignorant ass
You bared her ignorant ass ... right? If not, call her up and do it now!!!!!!
