Why no MAX CSA Contribution?
Forums:
My partner pays a vast amount each month to his X.
She no way needs this amount to cloth, feed and pay the basics.
I know in the eyes of marriage law they X wife continues to get a cut of the mans salary because it is 'what they would have had if they stayed together', regardless of the reason they split.
But for child maintenance why is there not a max? I see his money going on her holidays with her pals, her nights out, her clothes, her nails, her cocaine etc....
Its absolutely crazy. kids don't need more than say £350 a month each huh? If my X suddenly doubled his wage, I would not expect to quid's in on his hard work... a little extra might be nice, but all within reason.
Same thing here in the U.S.
Same thing here in the U.S. "Child" support goes to at least age 21 here in New York. Daddykins has been paying $1,000 a month (non-arrears). He makes (before taxes) $32,000 a year. He would NEVER have enough money to live on his own. Ten years down and at least another ten years to go.
I can see they do get more
I can see they do get more expensive as they get older, but its different here in the UK . . .
Dentistry is free until your 17
Prescriptions are free until your 17
NHS is free
Schools are free (until you reach uni age 18 - 'if' you go)
So, it is really is food/gas/elec/water/clothes/transport ... Anything else (holidays and sports etc) is a bonus not essential.
I now get £200 a month which was £94 a month.... A little bit more would help, but I wouldn't say its essential.
Too many money grabbing women here in the UK, its sad, would be Ok if they were investing it towards education, but they are mostly pampering themselves in the X's hard earned pay.
Its terrible.. the re-procussions of kids with the wrong person are endless.
End of the day it is just
End of the day it is just money and not what really counts in life. The X is welcome to it all, she should be ashamed at herself. If I had the £700 a month she gets I'd invest into saving for the future for my boy
Guess my partner only has himself to blame, he was with her for many years so will have know exactly what she (thrives of people spending money on her). Just like I only have myself to blame for having a kid with someone that puts his work first and spends very little time with my son.
I do think its very unfair on the men to have to cough up such unnecessary amounts for promotions etc that happen long after the split.
