Skids go back to BM tonight. This is supposed to be her Christmas break since the CO states they alternate, but she gave up most of it (all but Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day).

Skids opened the few gifts we got them on Sunday and we had some of my local family over for dinner.

So we're done for the season. We've decided to stay home Christmas Day and dodge the hectic gift exchanges that happen ad naseum (we don't participate anyway).

We're going to stay up late drinking wine and watching movies instead of scrambling to get everything wrapped, organized, and under the tree. It's actually kind of the ideal .. we get MOST of the Christmas break, but none of the hassle of the actual holiday itself
