Vent alert
If this young girl from my boyfriend's former marriage thinks she can be rude and nasty to me and get away with it, she's clearly delusional. I'm an Irish mother, she's way out of her league! I can out-attuitude her 10 times over.
She got told in a loud and clear way that this was NOT allowed, certainly not in my home.
That vent moment was brought to you by the letters S and D and the number 13
Good for you. SS27 does not
Good for you.
SS27 does not get an attitude with me - he's just a stupid drunk.
But I guarantee I am like you I could out attitude any teen.
Your boyfriend should not
Your boyfriend should not allow her to get away with it. That is one thing my husband instilled in his daughter at an early age; you do not disrespect adults. Of course, the teenage years suck.
Her father did back me up,
Her father did back me up, after he got "the look." Later when we were alone, I asked why he didn't pitch in sooner, he admitted that I went back at her so fast and so clearly, I scared him for a mintute or two. lol
I told my grown daughter what happened. I never had these problems with her. She said she lived with me all her life, she knew better than to even try that with me. Glad I had success there.
For the person who questioned the terminology, if the conversation was with my boyfriend, "our" would fit, but it was with a child who doesn't own the home. I live here every day, she visits every other weekend.

Great for you!
