I should be excited for Christmas, instead the dread is slowling setting in.....

Let me start by saying that Christmas is my most favorite holiday. I love to decorate, love to bake cookies, wrap presents, listen to Christmas music and of course SHOP! So why is the dread setting in? Skid of course....

Christmas break means BM will need a baby sitter so we will have skid at least 1/2 (probably more) of break. Thankfully I have to work so at least I can get away during the day, but that means I get to come home to a trashed house and not a speck of food big enough for a mouse.

SS11.5 spent the night on Tuesday and did his usual "food" crap... I go to grab a bag of chips last night to find that SS ate the whole frickin bag (except for about 12 chips) which he left in the bottom and put the bag back... are you serious?? sidenote: I have NEVER seen SS wash his hands so it's not like I would EVER eat any chips left in a bag after SS has been in them. Then this morning I go to grab a box of cereal and it's the same thing... about 12 peices of cereal in there... SS ate it all, but leaves a tiny bit in the bottom so it doesn't look like he did and puts the "empty" box back. Can't ever lift a finger to wash a dish, much less carry his empty dish from the couch to the sink, lays on the couch 24 hours a day watching MTV drivel, or texting on his super secret cell phone that never leaves his side.

Ugh I could go on and on.. but it probably sounds petty compared to alot of what ya'll have to deal with so I'll stop.. just needed to vent... Merry Freakin Christmas!

Know exactly what you mean. I would hate coming downstairs in the morning to see half (or more) of the dishes used and all over the house. And, of course, they can't lift a finger to wash dishes. So, when the skids are over... PAPER PLATES! PLASTIC CUPS!

I washed the sheets from the bed of my SS15 and placed them back in his room. Not on the bed, but back in his room. He came to the house last night and slept on the couch because his bed wasn't made. Are you kidding? I've told my DH before that I didn't marry him so that I could be the maid for his kids.

And I know what you mean about dreading this time of year. I really hate summer break because the skids never go home! They just spend the whole summer trashing the house! DH yells but doesn't punish so the kids don't care. If he took the xbox away, it might get their attention but he won't do that.
