OK, I'm the step mom,never had any "issues" with the BM, or her family, always got along well. We never went by the every other weekend parenting plan. In July, she bleached my 7 and 8 year old's hair. a horrid bleach job, my husband told her to correct before school started, or he would get it fixed. She is a new hair dresser, and apparently took it personal, so, said we were going to go by the parenting plan now. IT has been HELL since, we filed for joint custody, and she is trash talking me and my family, she is accusing me of abuse, and we feel she has the entire upper hand on it ALL. The courts are so slow!! I, the SM, have been the one taking the children to the doctor for the past 3 years, she hasn't!! One thing we filed against her was medical neglect, because of a severe ear infection one child had. NOW, she is taking them to the Dr at least twice a week. Will the courts see this??? SHE is crazy!! She has tried to tell the teachers at school that I am a child abuser, which ias completely insane, should I take charges on her for slander?? What to do!!!
