Awesome brothers

My bs10's older brothers are 20 and almost 18. The oldest is away at college and the younger one has little to do with their dad. Bs has been feeling blue about missing his brothers. I was talking with their mom and she spoke with the very busy almost 18 yr old. He is going to Greece with his high school band next week.

He texted me that he wanted to do dinner with bs. I told him he will be excited but I am paying.

When I told bs about it and suggested a couple of restaurants like DQ, He says no mom, brother is going away on this big trip, I want to take him somewhere nice like olive garden or golden corral...lol.
Gotta love that kid, planning a special night with his brother.

I said that is fine but your brother handles the money. I sent him off with 60.00 for dinner and gas and a 20.00 from my mom for his trip.

I am excited for the older boys that they are grown up and embarking on such exciting adventures, but miss them and the kids they were.

He also brought me his swim pictures for me and my mom. I am thankful they still love me.

I think it's great the way these older brothers make an effort to keep their binds with little brother going. Even with all the busy activities in their own lives and as they move into their young man adult years. You and the brother's mother are doing a good job with all these boys and the older are good role models for your son.

Wen all the adults are no longer with them, they are still going to have that brother bond and sense of family. This type of thing doesn't always get to happen in divided divorced families and I'm glad your son gets to have this.

I haven't been to Golden Corral for quite a while, but the chocolate fountain with strawberries is one of my kids favorites, lol.

I hope they are having a great time Smile

Well they went to olive garden and had a blast. Ss17 hung out and visited with us for about 40 minutes, I am so proud of him. He invited us to a play on Saturday at his school. He also talked about bringing his girlfriend over to our place so she could see wiener dog.. ss17 was wiener dogs favorite and he was the one who named her.

We will see him again for sure on good Friday as bs and I are going to mass with his mom, he is an alter boy.

I am so thankful he has such good role models. When he was little bs saw a lot of his brothers. He misses that and so do I.

We talked about how I wish the three boys could go do spring break with their nana and papa in Florida. My former father in law alwsys talks about when bs is old enough being able to come down on his own. I wish the three of them could go together, the grandparents would live it. I feel bad that they do not get to spend time with the kids.

What a great thing to have happened Smile

SS17 sounds like a great kid. I am glad you still have him in your son's life and that you and his mom are able to work together.
