Update on tooth

So our dentist was able to smooth out the chip, luckily the break was only in the enamel.

I did send ex an email updating him...no response back.

No surprise,he only responds to anything unless he feels like. He finally got back on some summer daycare information I needed but didn't answer all my pertnant questions regarding pick up.

He wanted more time, demanded more time. When given the chance to take more at his choosing...He didn't.

It is interesting the more I have given him what he wanted the less he wants it.

I am glad to hear good news on the tooth!

I am not surprised at the behavior of your XH.

I think most people want what they cannot have, and then think "wait a minute" when they actually do Smile

I totally agree. Real parenting is hard work. Making sure homework gets done, practicing your instrument, making them shower, clean their room, be respectful...all this is not fun, but are important. Teaching respect and responsibility, not fun but crucial imo.

My gut says he likes his childless lifestyle with his new wife better than all the responsibility I named. That is okay. If the relationship he has with bs is just one of fun at least it is positive.

My husband is not perfect but he enjoys being the step dad and helping with all the not fun things...and the fun ones. He is just as excited about baseball starting up as the boy.

Parenting is a whole lot of saying "no" and "not now" and some people just don't want to be the bad guy.

Most of parenting is not fun - if it is, you're not doing it right Smile

Good news about the tooth!! I chipped one and it was just the enamel. Phew!!

It was great news.you only get one set of permanent teeth. My dentist is amazing. She has worked miracles on me. In the next year he will need braces as he has some pretty big spaces and quite an overbite/ buck teeth.

Oh and ex is a huge wienie.

What I learned when I joined here 10 years ago, I did not have a bm problem or a skid problem I had a husband problem.

He sounds like BM; literally only cares about having a fight to be won. Anytime DH does things BM's way she flips just to try to keep the arguing going.

Bs told me he asked tonight if his tooth felt different and he replied back no. Pissed me off because that is his way of trying to prove I was wrong to take him in.

Can't respond to my email like a grown up discussing it but tries to prove his agenda through our son.

Every once in a while he goes on a rant how we have to work together but then doesn't.

He is the male version of the gubm... It guess that makes him the rusty schmeckle.

I think it's time to eliminate these uneccessary communications. He's a tit. You know he's a tit. He will always be a tit. Send him the bill if there is anything he needs to contribute, but I would stop any effort to communicate the why or how. You try to do the decent thing and keep him in the loop, and he acts like a tit? Ok then! Problem solved. He only needs the facts.
