OT- Locator apps on cell phones
BS12 has an android. Is there an app or something already on the phone that can be used if the phone gets lost/stolen to where I can locate the phone? Or in the event that something happened to BS I would know where he is at?
This is his first year with a smart phone and he is also getting older and wanting to go out more on his own. So we will be taking baby steps in allowing him a little more freedom.
I would feel better knowing there is a way to track his phone (and him) if there is an emergency.
My only concern with this is would I be the only one able to track him or does it open up a whole nother can of worms that other people with other apps would be able to track him as well?
(I know there was concern with SnapChat and Pokemon Go apps)
BS doesn't have any social media accounts but does have a couple of gaming accounts.
I feel so confused by what is available and what is good and what is not.
Thanks!

Life 360 is a good app for
Life 360 is a good app for tracking and phone location but I am sure there are several others out there just as good that perform the same job. I know 2 people who use this and like it...that is my only experience with a tracking app...
I don't know how it works but
I don't know how it works but our phones are linked to google and i can make them ring from the google website. Don't know how much that helps, lol.
Your phone network provider
Your phone network provider might have services you could use. Call them and see what they offer. If they charge money for it though check to see if there is a free app that works in a similar way.
