This father is in for one hell of a ride. With a mother like that, thst poor little girl is going to be one confused, self hating kid.

Wow. How can a woman be so
Wow. How can a woman be so against what she created? Can you imagine how she would have treated the little girl if her skin would have been darker like her dad's? Ugh what a nasty woman. Why can't she be glad she had a beautiful child with a dad who cares enough to take his daughter to get her hair done? So many dad's just throw it in a knot and add a bow. I hope he has a good lawyer, court order and judge.
If you have a half black kid
If you have a half black kid and you act like they are not half black, claim that they are more white when your kid is clearly half black, then you hate your kid.
Don't expose yourself. You don't have to say the n word to be racist.
That is a completely
That is a completely illogical conclusion. She is ignorant, for sure, but that doesn't mean she hates her kid.
Im going to have to agree
Im going to have to agree with above, what a ridiculous conclusion to come to. If she doesnt like cornrows or beads, its her preference. She could definitely of worded what she wanted to get across better, but it looks like the father was definitely goading her into this conversation. Then for him to blast her on social media?
I know it's an old thread but
I know it's an old thread but I just had to say something about the way this so-called "Mom" is treating her daughter.
It was the MOM who began the one cursing. And the MOM is the one who mentioned how she didn't want her daughter to look black.
Mom is a idiot. It just
Mom is a idiot. It just goes to show that racist folks have no problem having sex and children with people they claim to hate.
I bet that little girl did what most black girls and women do when they get their hair braided. She fell asleep.
Mom can think (and try to teach) that child she is white, but society will tell her otherwise.
Kudos to dad for exposing this loser.
Airing your dirty laundry all
Airing your dirty laundry all over is a crappy thing to do, the real loser here is the child. This could have been settled in a private conversation rather than publicly arguing about the girls race on a public forum.
Uh, I am white and have had
Uh, I am white and have had cornrows done many times and there is no sleeping while it is being done, it hurts like hell.
I am black. I have had my
I am black. I have had my hair braided thousands of times.
As a child I would fall asleep while my mother or aunts braided my hair. As an adult I still fall asleep while I'm at a salon getting braids.
When I get box braids(takes 4-6 hours), 2 or 3 women are doing my hair and I will go right to sleep while listening to music.
Aside: I fell asleep in the
Aside: I fell asleep in the dentist chair last week.
They both sound trashy. One
They both sound trashy. One is screaming stupid nonsense. The other posts her stupid nonsense online. They kind of deserve each other. Poor child though.
Honestly I think the racial
Honestly I think the racial aspect here is what is driving more people nuts and they are changing their opinions because of it. I can't count how many times I've seen SMS advised to leave kids hair to Mom, that Mom should be in charge of daughter's hair, that 'as a BM I would lose my sh*t if Dad changed my daughter's hair.' Etc. I don't imagine the cornrows are easy to take out, but I could be wrong. If I am I apologize for the assumption. How long would it take Mom to take them out if she didn't like them? Would the 2yo be able to sit still that long or would her scalp be tender?
I couldn't read the entire conversation since as soon as I tried that site redirected me to a bunch of ads. What I was able to get was she thinks of her daughter as more white than black and that her daughter's hair is different than grandma's so grandma isn't the ultimate authority. Which may be true. The daughter is mixed, so her hair may be in the middle as well, we don't know.
My honest opinion is that both mom and dad have the right to style their daughter's hair how they want on their time. The little girl is of both races and should be allowed to learn both cultures with neither outweighing the other. How much of this was due to the parents trying to get at each other using their child? Happens all the time and remember we are only seeing one side of the story.
Cornrows are not changing the
Cornrows are not changing the child's hair and they are easy to take out. Looking at the size of the braids, I would be able to take them all out in about 15 minutes.
Dad did not cut, perm or straighten the girl's hair. He simply had it braided. A dad gettng his child's hair done is not the same as a SM making the decision.
As I said earlier, I didn't
As I said earlier, I didn't know about how difficult the cornrows are to get out. Given that comments were made about a child falling asleep while they were being out it, I assumed they might also be difficult to get out. And I have seen SMs advised to leave ALL hair decisions to Mom, including not letting dad make the choices on this forum.
Given that the cornrows are easy to remove, BM should have let it go and not started crap. The girl has the right to learning about both cultures, and her parents are just going to have to deal with that.
Basic? You're military?
Basic? You're military?
"Cornrows are just a lot of
"Cornrows are just a lot of fancy, tiny braids right?"
Yup, take look at these styles. They are adorable

I am with Heavenlike,
I am with Heavenlike, cornrows are not comparable to a pony tail. Mine actually made my scalp swell, it took two days for the redness is dissipate and it hurt like damn hell. Another point is that anyone can do a ponytail and not anyone can put your hair in cornrows.
A black man having getting
A black man having getting his daughter's hair braided is not baiting the mom. Braids are a part of our culture.
Perhaps But you can't blame
Perhaps
But you can't blame him for her reaction. I have to admit that I am bias here. I think exposing people who think like her is a good thing.
Are people assuming your race
Are people assuming your race through the computer again?
I laughed so hard when someone said that you had to be white because of your posts.
You're right Ms. Sue. You
You're right Ms. Sue. You weren't implying anything. My apologies.
And yes, someone really did say she couldn't be a minority based of her posts. I think it was Sheldon.
"There's some very
"There's some very fundamental problems between the mother and the father, and the child is going to pay the price."
Agreed
If these parents don't get it together, that kid will grow into a confused and damaged adult.
Both baby mama and baby daddy
Both baby mama and baby daddy are trashy like heck and have no idea how to behave properly. Unfortunately it's very likely the kid will grow up just like them as she clearly has bad role models regardless of their race or ethinicity.
They are both idiots. Poor
They are both idiots. Poor kid.
She really should have used
She really should have used birth control if she wanted to have sex with a black man but didn't want to have a black child.
I feel bad for this little girl.

This whole story reminded me
This whole story reminded me of my exDH wanting to constantly make comments about DDs hair. He had this obsession with women having short hair. He was convinced that long hair looks ugly etc
He only stopped this nonsense when DD got to age when she could tell him herself to leave her hair alone, also when he married SM (lovely lady) and she has very long hair.
My exDH is a great father and we aren't the type to get nasty but that hair dilemma was just stupid. Is it like weird thing for men wanting to control women hair. Actually my own dad always commented how women must have short hair. Just weird. What's next? Argue about weight? Etc
My SD has family members on both sides who insist SD must braid SGD's hair or otherwise she looks like this or that with her Afro. SD wants to wait a little longer for braids, what's the big deal.
Actually one of DH's relatives said that SGD looks like a mushroom with her Afro, really? ( didn't this idiot Nick said kid looked like a turkey? His own daughter?)
So idiotic
Honestly when I first read
Honestly when I first read this awhile ago I thought it was staged/fake like the majority of these articles are. I don't trust the internet lately.
