Not feeling the Christmas Spirit much this year, so in the sprit of “Die with a stake of Holly through the heart and Boiled in their own pudding”………………

What’s your favorite Non Traditional Christmas Songs and or Movies?

Songs such as, “Father Christmas” by The Kinks or “I’ll be hating you for Christmas” by Everclear

Movies like, Bad Snata, Silent Night Deadly Night, etc.

I love Bad Religion, one of fav bands, not normal for a Christian to like an atheist band but hey I'm twisted.

I'm ready for December 26th. The skids are unhappy because we're not decorating this year (we didn't last year, either).

DH: Baby, do you think we should put up that small tree in the kitchen?
Me: Do you FEEL like decorating?
DH: F*CK NO.
Me: Are you cleaning so I can decorate?
DH: F*CK NO.
Me: If I clean AND decorate are you taking everything down?
DH: F*CK NO.
Me: Then F*CK NO to decorating. Besides, BioHo's house is decorated like Macy's department store inside and out and that's where they spend most of their time.

DH will be lucky if I clean the mofo'ing bathroom before the skids invade.

Decorating ha not been brought up yet at our house, I really don't want it, just more work.

Yes, it is, Major. More work as in:
*moving things around to make room for decorations
*extra cleaning required when you move things
*lugging boxes down from the attic
*putting up all the damn stuff
*taking down all the damn stuff
*lugging boxes back up to the attic
*cleaning where the stuff was because trees and tinsel shed

Also, we have our dog to consider. He's on three legs now. And while he's absolutely amazing at it, he needs more room to turn around. We don't want to create unnecessary obstructions for the darling boy.

And let's be honest. The skids are completely unappreciative. They don't care that DH's work is physically exhausting and taking a huge toll on DH. They don't care that DH is not getting enough rest and he could sleep 22 hours a day on his off days. They don't care that DH is so tired, he would really rather sit on his arse, but he dregs up energy to do things he doesn't even like because the skids WHINE that they are BORED. Heaven forbid that DH spends 2 minutes more with PigPen than PrincASS.
DH is working in the garage with Piggy? Well, PrincASS is BORED and wants to GO HOME.
DH is watching PrincASS play some stupid video game? Well, PigPen is BORED and wants to GO HOME.

These shi'theads would only be happy if DH could clone himself and spend 100% of his time with each of them. Then again, whoever got the clone would bitch because it wasn't the ORIGINAL DH.

Skids don't help with the work part either, Gskid would help decorate and that still happen for her. Skids just want their gifts, which they aren't getting much at all this year.

Skids touch my glass and antique ornaments? DH knows it's not worth his life to allow it. The boys can have a tree in their room with specific ornaments. The year PigPen broke a blue glass ornament with the 3 Kings on it and I hid in the basement and bawled was the last time DH let them so much as breathe on them.

The one year the boys put up the tree in their room, PrincASS put on 3 ornaments, PigPen put on 6, and DH did the rest. They expect us to do all of the decorating, but their main concern is HOW MUCH DO I GET.

UGH. Since almost lost life in the last 6 months promised DH and SS14 I would try to be even more "christmasey" this year. I think the whole damn thing should be sent away and we should go to church on December 25th and forget the damn visiting, cookies, dinners, etc.

BUT we did decorate and I'm making cookies.

I'm also staying drunk }:) }:) }:)

I did consider getting eight deer carcasses and hang them from the trees out front, that idea was squashed by committee. }:)

I don't give a f*** that I'm at work.

It's 17 days 'til Christmas.
17 days 'til the skids invade to see how much $$$ they got, scarf down food, and leave.
17 days 'til 'Ho calls at 10am to find out what time the skids are supposed to invade. Because every single skid was told and every single skid is unable to use their own damn cell phones to contact DH and ask.
17 days 'til I can drink that half bottle of Di Saronno that I've been saving since last ChristmASS.

Krampus was fun, but admit I watched it mostly for Toni Collette, loved her in United States of Tara, she's HOTTTT.

I do not have time to decorate..... and clean after wards..... Aergia complained about it last year, I laughed and said - there's the tree and decorations, but remember the person putting it all up is the person taking it all down...

Then she wanted lights all around the house and in the garden, I said have a ball, this store has a special on lights and remember the nails... nothing happened....

Then she complained cause in BM's house there's every year a different theme, green tree with only red, next year a white tree with gold, then a gold tree with what ever, I laughed and said,,,,, guess you are going to BM's for Christmas then cause for the life of me... I've never seen a golden tree.... she did not go to BM's and we had no decorations....

I rather save my money to buy booze with, no egg nogg, just plain whisky
