SS18 Found a Spoon

I know you all were on pins and needles wondering if SS18 would ever find a spoon to make his mac & cheese....well...he was at our place for dinner last night and I walked him down to the basement and SS18 went through our boxes of kitchen stuff (things we saved from when DH moved in).

Finally, he struck gold and found his mac & cheese spoon. Wink I gave him a box and told him to take what he needed.

DH also got him to take more of his clothes. We don't want the kid to feel like we're kicking him out but what good are the clothes doing at our house not being worn.

On the more frustrating side of life SS13 is 7 days into the school year and already missing 2 assignments Sad

DH is on it and got SS13 to get those assignments done last night but SS13 isn't with us again till next week, so I'm seeing more missing assignments in his future and another school year where DH spends most of our weekends with SS13 playing homework catch-up. I hate this cycle.

I have to admit, the mac & cheese spoon cracks me up. It is literally how I imagine ALL our steps one day. Having to come over to get a spoon ...

SS18 isn't like that with us BUT if it was BM SS18 would demand new. SS18 knows better than the pull that with DH.

Now that you mention it, I overheard SS18 telling DH and that he didn't have a spoon yet because BM didn't have time to go to the store and buy one for him.
