Not Stepfamily Related - Undermining Friends
Hi - This is not stepfamily related but I am hoping to get some advice. I have a friend who doesn't have children and undermines me with my kids. Like when I tell my daughter to eat what's on the table my friend says "no, she needs to ask for what she wants!" And will go get my daughter something else. When my friend is over at my house for my oldest a grad party and I tell my daughter to walk friend out- my friend like scolds
Me for asking my daughter to do it?
Any advice. Starting to drive me nuts!!

Make it clear to your kids
Make it clear to your kids that they are to do what you say no matter what.
Help me understand why she is
Help me understand why she is still a friend? This would be a deal breaker for me. I don't parent my friends children and they may not parent mine, unless I am absent and they are at my friends house.
Nip it in a bud firmly. "Friend, I appreciate your concern however leave me to parent my children"
I think a lot of people deal
I think a lot of people deal with this, especially with in-laws and their own parents. My recommendation would be to simply have a conversation with this friend and point out some examples. Set the expectations and boundaries and stick to them.
