This is what happens when SO ignores my opinion
Yesterday leaving the base we were stopped by Security Forces. They were doing random vehicle searches.
During the searches, they ask you for your license, registration and proof of insurance.
I was not AT ALL surprised when SO didn't have his registration or his proof of insurance.
About two years ago, I was taking night classes on base. I got out of class around 10pm and I was driving SO's truck. I was also stopped for a random vehicle search. No proof of insurance in the truck. When I got back to the house, I told SO he should keep a copy of his proof of insurance in the truck (he was keeping it in his wallet) for when I was driving it alone and needed it. He completely ignored me.
About two months ago, we bought a boat. I went to Outdoor Rec and registered to have it stored on base. I had the registration for the boat and the trailer. Well, turns out the truck registration was in with the boat stuff (it was all in a zip lock bag). I guess SO decided to put it all together. When I got home, I told about the truck registration being with the boat stuff and that he should put it in the glove box of the truck.
Of course, SO thinks I'm trying to be controlling and angrily tells me that the boat stuff and the truck stuff will always be together in the truck. I guess he was wrong. I saw SO put the zip lock with all the registrations in it, in the garage last week. I didn't bother to remind him about the truck registration. Hey, I don't want to be controlling.
So, we are getting searched and SO asked me to check the glove box for the proof of insurance and registration. I did, all the while knowing they weren't in there. Well, he had to admit to the SF guy that he didn't have the paperwork. SO asked me about it and I reminded him of the conversation a few months prior.
He's lucky he didn't get a ticket from SF. He found the truck registration last night and it's sitting on the kitchen table. Want to take bets on if it ever makes it into the truck!

Is it in a man's DNA to never allow a woman to give good advice or for us to be right or logical once in a while?!?! My DH does the same thing! It's gotten to the point now, I stopped giving him advice and just silently laugh when things don't go in his favor
