Felt bad for SD24
For those of you unaware, I have SD24 (married, no kids), SD22 (not married, has DS1), and SD18 (married, DD 3 months). SD24 has been trying to get pregnant for a couple years now, with no success.
So, apparently all 3 girls went to see their mom on Mother's Day. (All 3 called me as well, which I wasn't remotely expecting! It was nice.) BM's niece was there too, as she's been living with BM - and niece has a DD2. Anyway, their mom posted pictures on FB. Five pictures in all.
One picture:
Niece with her DD2, SD18 with DD3mo, SD22 with DS1... and almost out of the frame is SD24. She looked pissed, honestly.
The other four pictures are of the 3 girls who have babies - SD24 is not even included.
I can't believe BM marginalized SD24 like that, KNOWING how hurt SD24 is by the infertility issues they've got going on, and KNOWING that SD24 is very jealous of her two younger sisters' accidental pregnancies (neither was planned).
I don't often pass judgement on BM's parenting, but this was a total dick move and I felt so bad for SD24!

BMs frequently only see
BMs frequently only see popping out babies as being praise-worthy. Who cares if they weren't planned? Who cares if they aren't married? Who cares if the fathers want nothing to do with them? BABIES! $$$ YAY!
That is sad. My heart goes
That is sad. My heart goes out to your SD. And that was a serious douche maneuver by BM.
It was Mother's Day. Plenty
It was Mother's Day. Plenty of people took pictures of all the Mother's in their families, with and without their children.
I think it's strange that someone having infertility issues (I understand that, I have secondary infertility), would even spend MOTHER'S DAY with a bunch of MOTHERS.
Well, to be fair, SD was
Well, to be fair, SD was spending Mothers Day with HER mother. It just so happens that the other girls (all with kids) were there. SD really does try her best to grin and bear it, you know? She loves her niece and nephew, she babysits sometimes, gets them little gifts, that sort of thing. But I think deliberately excluding her from the picture was really insanely thoughtless of BM. Why not have stepdad take the picture with ALL of them, including BM? That would have made more sense and been kinder.
