12 degrees--- put your kid in a tank top! Smart!

Bradymom's picture

It's 12 degrees here today. Step daughter 10 wore a floral shear tank top & skin tight capri cheetah leggings that are 2 sizes too small! But don't get upset too quickly... She had high heel boots on!!! Dear lord!!! I don't get it. Why on earth would you send your kid out of the house like that?! Especially to their dad's house!!! I'm beginning to think she does this on purpose. But what kind of person dresses their kid inappropriate to spite their dad & step mom? It only makes HER look bad & her daughter feel bad. Does anyone have this situation?

Floral and cheetah? Hmmm, interesting combo. Were the boots knee high. That'd add a nice touch to capris :O

Just toss a sweat suit at the kid and tell her Halloween is over for the day now.

My SD is 7, and she frequently comes over in clothes that are several sizes too small (she wears a 7/8 and comes over all the time in size 4/5 clothes), or totally inappropriate for her age (example: 4 inch wedge heels, skirts that her butt hangs out of), or totally inappropriate for the weather (no sleeves/short skirts in <45 degree weather), or things that are stained, worn out, have holes, etc. She's even come over before with DRIED FOOD caked to her clothes. Not stained, not stuff that didn't come out in the wash, clothes that just haven't been washed and still have the ACTUAL FOOD crusted to them.

We just have SD change clothes as soon as she gets to our house. Now that's she's old enough to notice how crappy/uncomfortable her clothing is, she will take it upon herself to change her clothes immediately. I always wash the clothes from BM's house (in their own special load) and that's what SD wears when she goes back.

Bm dresses sd8 like a ragamuffin. Clothes that are too small and too short. Shorts that are way way too short and go up her butt. It is disgusting and sad. Dh and I have appropriate cute clothes that sd8 wears here. We also bring a change of clothes with us if we are heading directly somewhere after we pick her up!!!

Same situation here. Skids wear clothes too small. BM out right refuses to buy them clothes, but she got them both tablets for Christmas and her 15yr, who has already been told he's repeating 10th grade, a laptop.

I completely understand where all of u are coming from. When BM had custody kids wore god awful things, wrong size and wrong season. The best story I can tell is SD had an awards ceremony for cheerleading and it was between 35-40 outside and it was night, not one of the kids had coats on and the oldest didn't have shoes on or with him. When DH confronted her she said "Don't worry about my kids they are just fine". Someone people really shouldn't be allowed to have kids at all.

Good grief. Does the BM plan to buy SD some thongs to hang out the top of her cheetah leggings??
