How horrible. Not that it really matters at all, but I'm curious as to whether the step son lived with them, and if he had any past mental/emotional problems? So many monsters in this world

Unclear whose stepson he was? Does not have the same last name as the man of the house. But seems a bit old to be the son of the wife. She would have to have been fifteen at the time he was born, not unheard of but odd. Why isn't the shooter's name Drexel?

This is why I tend to "overreact" whenever SD20 (who lives with us) asks me who is in charge if something "should happen" to DH and I, or who gets what if DH dies...might just be innocent questions..but after stories like this and a few others, it's scary when they ask these questions.

Dammit!! I wish I was smart enough to think of that..I was stupid enough to say that if just DH dies, I'm in charge of everything (at the time I was being immature and letting her know I was DH's #1..so that was my first mistake lol) and if we both die, nobody gets anything, all of our assets go to pay for any funeral costs and in all honesty, DH's life insurance does not cover much..but regardless..I wish I would've been smarter with my answer. Gosh I can be so darn idiotic sometimes

That's true..and since my FIL owns and DH co-owns a cemetery, the subject of death comes up a lot in this house lol
