Tooth Fairy Poll

How much is appropriate to give a child from the "tooth fairy"? I'm just curious how far out of the relm of normal my girlfriend and her ex husband actually are.

First tooth is a 2$ bill and a small present

All teeth after that are $2 bill (I use a glitter hairspray on them)

Holy s**t snacks!

I got a quarter for each tooth.

I am so going home and pulling out all my teeth tonight. I need a new dress for an upcoming wedding.

I'm going to sue my parents for not paying me enough for the natural process of losing my baby teeth.

Let see......24 teeth at $10 a pop.

$240
Multiply that by 30 years for loss of income

$86,400.00

Plus pain and suffering and disappointment.

Well...they're my parents on a fixed income, so I'll just round up to $1,000,000.00.

Only money can fix this hole in my heart.

Man...I way over paid compared to all of yall! lol

Meh...I could afford it and the kids had a ball spending it. No harm no foul.

Whatever "paper" money bill in the pocketbook... varies each tooth... darn cashless society...

Maybe I should have given DD a cell phone with the Square thing that takes credit cards. I use my mileage Visa for almost everything!

I think the Tooth Fairy's going to go bankrupt with your (s)kids! In the Netherlands, when kids lose their teeth, there's no Tooth Fairy.

It's grosser than putting your former tooth under your pillow though. The kids get a special container. For their teeth. So they can keep them forever (or until they leave home).

Much rather the Tooth Fairy!

Yeah I only got £1 per tooth but I did have a beautiful personalised Tooth Fairy Pillow when I lost my first one, I went to sleep with my tooth under the pillow, woke up with a little white satin pillow that was embroided with my name and a little pouch for the tooth, which had the money in.
Wayyyy better than keeping the teeth lol

SecondGeneration, now THAT is an AWESOME idea! I would use that for my kid. I likely wouldn't give money every time, but with a little pouch maybe some small gifts to go in. Hmmmm better start thinking 24 different pressies up, my girl's almost 12 weeks old lol!!!

I was a buck or two. If it was a front tooth, I think we did $5.00. Half the time I was scrounging for cash to pay up.

A dollar! And that's if the kid is lucky and I have an actual bill. I have been known to stash any combo of coins under the pillow as long as it equals a $1. LOL I never seem to have actual cash on me.

My Dad was a coin collector so he gave me one of each coin of that year including the dollar coin. I'm not sure but I think I still have them in storage somewhere.

We gave DD (then 4) $1 each for her first two teeth and we will continue to do $1 per tooth. Right now she has several loose ones.

My parents gave us each a quarter, but they were cheap-ass bastards, (kidding - not about the quarter though).

Sd got TEN bucks from BM for her last tooth, but she was only trying to one-up FDH. I think that's very excessive...but she's spoiled.
