I agree and we tend to bash
I agree and we tend to bash BM's really bad here but lately I have noticed a lot of crazy BM's posting at CafeMom
I told my guy I found a sight
I told my guy I found a sight for step parents and he thought it was great till I told him about the lady (I don't remember her name) who's SD gave her chemical shampoo. He told me I should go somewhere more positive hahaha I said nope, these are REAL women who do share advise and their own lives, not every step parent has great relationships with the kids or baby mama.
If you google step talk and
If you google step talk and go a few pages in there's an old cafemom blog that bashes the women of step talk, probable about three years old. It just boggles my mind that there are so many "birth mom" sites but how dare women in our place seek a place to chat and ask for advice with out being labeled. Smh.
Bahahaha
Bahahaha
"Leave the discipline to
"Leave the discipline to their father."
Yes. It's very practical for you to allow a kid to run rampant in your home just because Daddy Dearest isn't there to lay down the law.
*facepalm*
Pain in the ass. And that's
Pain in the ass. And that's putting it mildly.
As someone who never wanted
As someone who never wanted children, the last thing I ever wanted to do was take SD away from her mother!
Leave the discipline to their father? When I was growing up, any adult in a child's life had the right to discipline the child. We were taught to respect adults, period.
Treat your step children the way you wish to be treated. That goes both ways, buddy.
Don't try to change their daily routines. Well, that is a lot of the problem, isn't it? They so often have no daily routines or structure.
And I'm sorry, but children should be taught to be appreciative of others who are doing for them (like teaching them things and loving them). Especially because we.don't.have.to.
Yes, it's all perfect in la la land. Unfortunately, that is not where we live.
