Skid3 asked to go back and see her old counselor. Anxiety over drama at school, if she will pass her grade (due to FCAT and EOC- end of course- exams) etc.

DH and I do an intake with the therapist: who demanded to do an intake interview with BM as well. This despite the fact DH has sole custody and bm is in JAIL.

Coucelor will not go to the jail to do the interview with BM and the jail will not take BM to the counselor.

I called three other therapists office and its the same story. Despite DH having sole custody they all want an intake interview with the Bio mother: when asked "so if the bio mother for a child is a drug addict that has taken off and there is no way to contact that kid gets no counceling- ever?"

Nope, thats when the parent who has SOLE custoy has to go to court to get it ordered.

So awesome, we get to pay even more $$ to go before a judge and have him ORDER Skid3 into counseling.

**Note: BM did offer to just sign the concent form that she understands the kid is going into counseling with the provider. But apparently that is not 'enough'**

No wonder kids don't make it into counseling: the 'industry standards' make it freaking impossible for parents who can't afford court fees!

The phon issue was brought up. BM can only call out collect (which is like $7 a minute... no joke!) and can not get incoming phone calls at all.

Which is why we tried the just getting her to sign the concent for treatment, which per her attny she is willing to do, just send it to her. Only thats not enough according to the therapist.

Last time skid3 saw this therapist "I" was the evil bitch. BM was the golden child saving her children from the evil queen step mother. Guess it is hard for the chick to swallow/ accept the change in family dynamics.

I didn't have to get permission from sperm donor or anything to put DD in counseling. I needed a referral from her pediatrician to get insurance to cover it and that was it.
