Another new sport...
Well go figure BM found another new sport to enroll SD in that she likely won't excel at. BM has now registered SD in indoor soccer and claims the only indoor soccer she could enroll SD in is in a town 45 minutes away from ours....but you know it isn't BM's fault we moved so she doesn't care if it is an inconvenience...it is in "SD's best interest" as usual. Oh and of course BM is going to help coaching even though BM herself has never played soccer and neither has SD. From what I understand indoor soccer includes a lot of running. I'm sure this will definitely cause SD's "sports induced asthma" to flare up. I'm pretty sure she is coaching to make sure that SD receives the super special treatment like she did in cheer (watching that just once was enough to make me want to ralph). Anyways, anyone want to take bets on how long SD makes it before an "injury"?!?!?

What IS it with these twunts?
What IS it with these twunts?!
Aniki, I do not know, she
Aniki, I do not know, she also has her in ice skating so she has a full schedule and is still trying to blame ADHD and/or learning disabilities for SD's poor grades. Even though the super special testing showed SD didn't have either. Ugh! I don't complain about the ice skating b/c SD actually seems genuinely interested in it and is actually good at it. But it is only once a week so that doesn't give BM enough control over DH's limited time with SD.
I was proud of DH. When BM spouted off the "best interest" BS line. DH replied, "what would be in the best interest of SD is actual quality time with her father. Not just him chauffering her around and having no quality time"... of course BM didn't respond to that. Instead she started texting about how she took SD bra shopping and SD is in a size C and she must get it from his side and her mom b/c BM has no boobs!" DH wanted to reply so badly that he knows SD didn't get it from BM but he also thought that the convo was weird and desperate on BM's part and ignored it.
ICE skating? OMG. Cold, dry
ICE skating? OMG. Cold, dry air can cause an asthma flare-up. Is BM trying to kill her daughter? WTH
"what would be in the best interest of SD is actual quality time with her father. Not just him chauffering her around and having no quality time".
LOVE IT!!!
Magically SD's "sports
Magically SD's "sports induced asthma" never flares up in ice skating b/c she likes it. It also never flares up when she is with DH. It is only when BM is around. Also, SD NEVER remembers her asthma meds/inhaler. I think it is more of a "BM induced asthma".
Ah, I see. Sorry, but DH
Ah, I see. Sorry, but DH should refuse to allow SD to do things that are detrimental to her health since she doesn't have her MUCH NEEDED meds/inhaler! Two can play that game. Or, in this case, three.
Oh, I agree, DH has told BM
Oh, I agree, DH has told BM to stop putting SD in sports that cause these "asthma flare ups" but you know GUBM knows best *dash1*
Has he ever slyly
Has he ever casually remarked to her how strange it is that they only ever occur on her time?
I think he was in denial for
I think he was in denial for a while until I mentioned it to him. He still has a lot of guilty daddy issues himself. There has been some improvement when it is to blaringly obvious to ignore. I think when I sat with him and wrote down all the ways that SD seeks attention that needed to be addressed with the therapist and his BFF that works in juvenile courts told him the same stuff that I had been saying it helped a little light bulb go off.
So she never played soccer
So she never played soccer yet she is going to be a coach. Hahaha. This woman is going to be in for quite a surprise. The other parents are going to complain and get pissed when they find out she doesn't know what she is doing. It sounds to me she is only coaching for her child not thinking of the team. Worst kind of coach. If you are on a team you need to be a team player. She going to be the Mommy that wants to still breast feed the kid on the bench.
first time
I don't see this as going well. By this age there are very few brand new players. Most have played for a few years and have some skills. SD has never played before and her skill level will not match. SD would normally get the minimum required playing time the league mandates, but BM is the coach (who has never played) so expect SD to get more time than her skill level would indicate. The other players will not be happy, the other parents will not be happy, and if there is another coach for the team, that coach will not be happy.
While it would be great to be there to see this go down, I think finding an excuse to stay away might better as you don't want anyone to think you have anything to do with this mess.
Queensway and Notarleative,
Queensway and Notarleative, this is exactly what I am expecting! SD is 12 and has NEVER played or showed interest in soccer and hates running!!!! She is also not very coordinated. BM put her in this to help her for when she plays her other new sport (field hockey). I do hope it backfires. BM is definitely only helping coach b/c she wants to coddle SD in every aspect of life.
I WILL NOT BE ATTENDING! It is 45 minutes away and I def do not want to be a part of this sh!t show!!!!
BM is NUTS and I feel so
BM is NUTS and I feel so sorry for you and your DH but... I still get a thrill from reading about all BM's antics. She is just so stupid! Her logic is magical thinking at it's finest.
Remind me... what's the deal with your SD? I thought for some reason she hates doing all these sports, but it also sounds like she never wants to tell BM that she's not super interested in them? Or is your SD a mini-BM? I can't remember...
LuluOnce...I think that it is
LuluOnce...I think that it is a combo of her not wanting to tell crazy BM that she doesn't really want to do them (hence all her fake exaggerated drawn out injuries in the past), attention seeking and mini-BM, she is also a wanna be mini wife but I put an end to that crap.
There is a plus side to all of BM's crazy - it means SD is in my home less and SD gives me major anxiety with her attention seeking so there is that
I don't know if all indoor
I don't know if all indoor soccer is the same, but if this is anything like the indoor soccer I played, your SD is going to hate it. It's VERY fast moving - moreso than outdoor soccer - and we didn't have out-of-bounds unless the ball went over the walls/nets out of the court/field altogether, we just played off the wall. Most of the kids who played indoor soccer were the die-hard regular soccer players who wanted to play during the winter when the regular fields were covered in snow. I hope for your SD's sake that what she's signed up for is different from what I played.
Why doesn't your DH just refuse to allow BM to dictate his time with his daughter? Although I suspect SD will manufacture an injury so she can quit - she is NOT going to like this.
She will quit when all the
She will quit when all the kids dislike her because "coach" aka mommmmmeeee gives her more playtime than she should have. But it will be warpped into "they were all jealous because she was better than them!".
SteppedOut, you nailed it!
SteppedOut, you nailed it! This is what happened in cheer and then SD didn't make competition cheer so they were obviously just jealous and BM reported the coaches to some board and managed to get SD into competitive cheer but told SD she didn't have to if she didn't want to b/c they were so mean to her. I mean I'm sure her not making the team had nothing to do with the fact that she forgot the routine in the middle of tryouts, right?!?!
ndc, this is the only type of
ndc, this is the only type of indoor soccer I know of also. I'm sure that SD will hate it. I only know of indoor soccer in my area b/c when I was a kid all the hardcore players wanted to continue to play in the offseason. My friends son is older and goes to this place. He has been playing soccer since he was 5 and is on the varsity team at his school....so.....maybe we are both wrong but I highly doubt it.
First time SD has to do a
First time SD has to do a chest trap she will be dead. Imagine having a hard AF ball thrown with great force right at your chest and you have to bump it and not put your arms up...yeah no she's going to get eaten alive.
Hahaha, she will be faking an
Hahaha, she will be faking an injury in no time...
I’m sure you’ve posted about
I’m sure you’ve posted about this but why doesn’t your DH just say no to taking her on his time, and instead actually spend time with her? Your BM is a loon, but I don’t get why your DH goes along with it.
Monkeysee, unfortunately in
Monkeysee, unfortunately in his CO it states that whoever has her during her ECA time takes her to said events. BM effed him over royally in the CO. He was a dumb@$$ for signing it but he desperately wanted to get away from her and couldn't afford an atty. I didn't know him then or I would have told him to fight that CO. His SM is the only person that told him to fight it. So it is still his fault for signing that crap. When I read it I was like, WTF, so many crazy provisions he just signed off on.
Ahh I see, that really sucks!
Ahh I see, that really sucks!!
I've played soccer my whole
life since I was 4, so 21 years I have played, still play now on adult league that is still pretty competitive. Indoor soccer has turf, when there is turf that means the ball moves A LOT quicker, there is less players on the field, and typically there is no out of bounds like in outdoor so there is really no breather. It is A LOT of running. Usually people who play indoor soccer are people who play all year round then in winter do indoor to keep in shape and not lose their touch on the ball.
How old is your SD? Oh and BM will make an absolute fool of herself trying to be a coach but knowing nothing.
That is the only way I've
That is the only way I've none indoor soccer to be also. I don't play but had friends that did and their kids. My SD is 12 and yes, I am hoping that BM will look like the fool she is trying to coach this team she has never been a part of and knows nothing about. I don't even know how she weaseled her way into coaching. It isn't some sort of YMCA recreational team either. I asked my friend (her son is awesome at soccer)...it is one of the bigger complexes around where the kids that play all the time go.....
Ahhh just think
of all the creative injuries SD can get from soccer. It wont matter that she cant play, she will be on the injured list after the first game.
Keep us posted LOL
LOL, you think she will make
LOL, you think she will make it to the first game?!?!? I'm guessing she will get "injured" during her first few practices. First one is tonight...She seriously googles injuries online. I only know b/c she was showing me something she wanted online and "shoulder injury symptoms" popped up. BM was even considering taking her to PT b/c she fell off her bed (not a bunk bed or anything) and hurt her back I'm sure she googled that too!
I'll def update on this!
She googles injuries online
OMG...she is annoyingly hilarious *ROFL*
Well at least
she isn't volunteering to be a human punching bag.... YET!!!
Hahahah, thinkthrice, just
Hahahah, thinkthrice, just give it time. I mean she did offer herself up to pedophiles online already. It takes time to build up to the human punching bag desperation.
