Holy S4!T is it a full moon?
True to my word to do NOTHING regarding holidays or life events other than my own thing (with a scant few exceptions DH has been horrible about holidays or life events for me or prompting the children to do anything...see previous posts), I said NOTHING about DHs birthday to anyone. I got him some small gifts. Done.
- YSS17 actually came to the house after getting off work really late and woke up early in the morning when he heard DH and had a gift for him.
- DS19 asked me a few days ago to get the right day and on his own decided to make birthday dinner for DH on DHs birthday. Surprised DH since he and I were at a non-bday event and got home at dinner time.
- OSS19 didn't forget either. Sent a text. I'm shocked he remembered (though I would not be surprised if someone else gave him a clue). I'll be impressed if there's a gift from him when he gets home from college.

Ooh, I spoke too soon
I thought it was a good bday for DH. But he's been pissy toward me so I asked. DHs world: He said he's upset I didn't say goodnight on his bday. My world: My husband is asleep, and I'm glad he's had such a nice bday so I won't ruin it by waking him.
How do I know he was pissy? He got up later that night and was banging doors and being extra loud. He's been pissy since.
From experience I'm pretty sure his mad isn't about that. Usually something else tipped the scales but I'm safe and convenient to take out anger upon.
