We're tying the knot

After eventful and crazy 10 years together-living together for 7, engaged for almost 5.  There is my DS18, DS19 and SD18. 

We booked a place in GA mountains with a beautiful setting for just us two to elope and spending some days at a cabin with our pups.  The place even has a super large dog kennel area for pups to use during the ceremony.

Looking forward to it, we picked up our marriage license yesterday-our rings are arriving Thursday.  I'm still working from home w/my ankle injury but should be returning in a few more weeks.  Been a long time coming....so many ups/downs and crazy all arounds and we're still standing.

Was the best thing we did! I had nightmares prior as to what Huey and Duey would pull. 

OP congrats and enjoy your day  skid free, drama free. It will be beautiful!

Thanks all!  To be honest if things were better with the relationship with my oldest son and us then I would include them all, no drama from SD for some time now and my DS18 is very accepting and no drama.  Is what it is so we are happy to be doing it alone.

They have 4 locations but since we are hikers and outdoorsy people we chose the rustic outdoor chapel-so very fitting for us https://cavendercastle.com/outdoor-wedding-venues-georgia/   They have a golf cart to the location and I should be able to hobble boot free for that short stint.  Have to go get a pair of flat comfy shoes-we're using clothing we have, him his suit pants/shirt/tie (no jacket) maybe his vest and me a navy blue sheen dress I love-my rings are sapphire so matches great.  I have a pretty sheer white scarf to wrap around...simple and no big costs :)

Congratulations! (Or...tell your stbDH Congrats! According to my MIL, you say Congrats to the man, "Best Wishes" to the bride. lol.) 

I love the N. Georgia mountains...my grandma has a home there but unfortunately she's selling this summer and moving to assisted living :( 

We eloped as well. Best decision of my life.

(yay on the elopement.  it's my only other requirement outside of no kids under court order. Ha!)

We do plan to have a longer honeymoon travelling in Mexico actually but that will be next year.  W/the leg I wouldn't be able to see al the ruins, sites I'd like to.  And we pretty much always travel w/them -except Mexico or anywhere we would have to fly.  And yes, little girl is growing out of it now :)  She's a good gir.
