And he confirmed that getting an Emancipation By Conduct is virtually impossible if you are an NCP bioDAD... even if said skids have been alienated for years as in our case.

His advice was to wait until November when SD ages out and file for a downward mod then and a termination for her.

(SIGH!!!!)

I've always heard that, too. They will just say that Chef has made no effort to try to reach the kids, or paint him as abusive, or whatever.

DH and I agree that it's pointless to go to an unfair system and try to get a fair result. November isn't that far away.

it will take months for the termination of CS to go through past the age out date and it won't be retroactive

most successful EBC have been where the NCP BM was the plaintiff....hmmmmmmmm

I understand not emancipating minor children even if they never want to see us again. We still have to feed them. But grown people? Keep supporting them even if they never see you. Jeez

the attorney said he was representing one man whose 19 year old son was living at Grandma's and was an electrical Apprentice making 30 grand a year and they still didn't want to emancipate him as being self-supporting!!!!! good old New York State!

I've always said, remove child support 'awards' and watch more ncp turn into CP.

Is yours a state that will extend beyond emancipation age for trade school, college or has bm said sd is disabled in any way?

Yes.  The Gir doctor shopped until she got a quack to label her learning disabled--other and prescribe anti depressants. 

All of her special ed reports SCREAMED "SD is plain lazy"

Our system is so broken and unfair. DH thinks that he can get munchkin to be emancipated at 16. He'll get her driving and a car and she will have a job, he tells me. We shall see!

But I keep telling him that it will be impossible and expensive. I just keep my mouth shut. I hate child support. I think its a legal form of stealing. Every month that b!tch Toxic Troll gets to reach her filthy hands into DH's wallet and take his heard-earned money. Even after she will get her big payouts, DH still has to pay and pay and pay...
