Hi everyone!  

I just created this account and hope it helps.  I have never been one to post on a forum or blog but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.  I’m a step mother to 2 teens.  18 and older.  Most days i feel like I am going insane since I don’t understand my husbands parenting.  A lot of yes’s even when I have to beg for simple requests.  I’ve been married for 4 and 1/2 years now and it seems like the older the kids get the harder it is.  

All in all I have it good but damn.  It’s a lot of hard work. Love my family but need to talk to people who will understand.

Also, sorry you found you want to be here.       Someone once described this place as the club no one really wants to belong to.

But there’s lots of great advice to be had.

yes!!! Love that.  Not many people I know at my age are in this position.  37 yrs old with teens 19 and 18 yrs old.  I almost wish they were little.  Might be easier?  Idk.

Yes, under the best of circumstances, parenting is HARD. And after a family has broken up and become divided into 2 separate entities, its HARDER.

Keep posting and reading - we are all in this together.
