YSS 15 is Well On His Way
to academic failure. Similar to his older siblings, although more pronounced. The Girhippo has gotten him labeled "learning disabled" as she did for SD. Speaking with my DIL who is an elementary school teacher, "learning disabled" can be MISinterpreted as "lack of desire to do schoolwork and the refusal of parents to do anything about it" IOW shoddy ass parenting. Very sad.
So he has automatically been given the LOCAL diploma requirements as opposed to REGENTS, which he is STILL failing due to attendance or the lack thereof. Just recieved another detention for skipping classes and one for being late to class 11 times this marking period and 24 times this school year.

What exactly is the end goal
What exactly is the end goal with these parents? Girhippo and StepDaddy?
Do they enable these children to the point of delinquincy so that these kids are never independent? Never held accountable for simple tasks - like going to school? Never able to stand on their own feet? Always around? Living in the basement at 40?
There are various forms of child neglect and this is one of them.

This is what I was wondering, too. Why would anyone thrive on their child(ren) being learning disabled because THEY can't parent? BM is getting CS until 21, anyway. What more can she want with a rich husband?!

"LD" is seriously the biggest
"LD" is seriously the biggest joke of a lable. In my experience the kids who are labeled LD are the ones who are just lazy, have fallen way behind because they've done nothing for years, parents have done nothing to help address their laziness, and so we'll just lable them LD so they can have extra time on tests and use calculators and get locals diplomas..... when in fact most will drop out anyway. It's such a disgusting joke.
