Thats what happens when you complain

I posted last week about my SD not eating dinner because the burgers I made weren't "gourmet" enough for her. So last night (visit night) I cooked for my kids, cleaned up the kitchen and was watching TV when FDH and SD came in from gymnastics. He asked if there was dinner and I said 'nope'.

He looked at me funny but did not push it. She had a yogurt, then showered and went to bed. I was at the gym when they left this am so I saw SD for a grand total of 5 minutes on this week's visit.

Score one for stepmom!

NICE! Congrats on the victory. Smile I love hearing stories of stepmoms being victorious! Makes me think that the next 4 yrs of SD14 being around MAY not actually kill me!

I'm ready to do this as well. Way to go. I hate picky kids. BM is picky and made my skids that way too.

I stopped cooking for the SDs when I got this kind of attitude from them. Made DH do it for a few years. Trouble is, he can only cook one thing (waggamama soup) so they ate an awful lot of that for a while!

I had a picky eater. Made my husband cook when she was around. Ironicly She went from being picky about my cooking to telling her daddy he didn't cook good enough. ROFLMO. it was fun watching my husband displine his picky eater. She either ate or didn't eat at all.

This is what you get when you have a BM that will not cook for her children and goes to The Olive Garden, Joes Crab Shack, OutBack Steak House, Golden Corral, IHOP, Cracker Barrel for lunch and dinner. She will not cook at all.

Sounds familiar - when my DH cooks the picky kids are horrified. Guess my cooking isn't so bad after all.

And BM eats mainly at restaurants. She can't cook anything other than pasta. Her H can cook so I think he mainly is the one making the meals. But generally they eat at restaurants - I can't compete with McDonald's. I don't have MSG or the plethora of chemicals they use to make their food taste better.
