have you been married before?
have you been married before? has he? like previous poster said marriage is hard, takes tons of work on both parts, and there's no quitting... if you want it to last. i don't think playing games (hanging up first, acting like you don't care etc) is the best way to go. if you truly love him let him know, don't beg him to stay though. if he really wants out, then he wouldn't be someone you want to be married to anyways, right?!
You seem upset at the end of
You seem upset at the end of the relationship, that's very normal. The harder you to try to grip this guy and hold on to him, the more he will want to get away.
I know this will sound a bit strange, but your post immediately called to mind Kate Middleton. I remember reading that there came a point where she wanted a commitment and Prince William was not ready to give that to her. They broke up. I think it was for a period of six months, Kate was seen around town, she attended dances and events and whatever else people in her social position do. She did not sit home and weep and plot how to chase William and win him back. She went out and lived her life, and William saw she was quite capable of being without him and he went back to her, on her terms.
Every checkout line, it seems I am looking at their picture and they seem so happy together.
If you ever do reconcile with this man, please remember, there is a reason why you broke up. That reason must be addressed and solved or you will simply end up breaking up again. Do not get married until the problem can be resolved.
