So yesterday at dinner I was in the middle of a story with DH about work and SD16 chimes in with her day...OK I am all for conversation at the dinner table but I was right in the middle of talking....So then my DH starts paying attention to her talking....My mouth just kind of dropped...and then the best thing happened...My BS14 said "HEY SD, my mom was talking to DH wait your turn, how rude" :jawdrop: I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!!!!!! I was so proud of my son at that moment...and my Sd and DH just kind of looked at him and I said Thank you BS...and continued my conversation...Well SD did not like this and left the table without finishing her meal....DH then said to me "that wasnt very nice"...I said are you kidding me what was not very nice was SD chiming in while I was still talking to you and you paying attention to her that is what was not nice.....Its pretty said that a 14 year old can see that but you can not. Now I get where SD gets her manors....How nice....At that point did not want to continue dinner myself, and started to talk to BS about his day...DH got off the table to tend to SD16 (because you know shes 6 and all) to make sure she was OK....Then wants to cuddle with me afterwards when i sat down to watch TV....He wasnt to happy when i got up and went to bed....

Of coarse when he came to bed it was all sorry that was wrong...Yah sick of the sorry's already, start showing me something because this shit is getting VERY OLD!!!!! One more day please go by very fast!!!!!!

Good for your son!!! My SS19 does the same thing, just acts like I'm invisible when I'm sitting right there talking. My BD17 sticks up for me, cuz her father doesn't...which is SS's father too!! Whenever he refers to DH to our daughter it starts out with "MY DAD" BD stops him in his tracks and says um you mean OUR DAD.
