I do NOT want anyone thinking I am associated with that trash.
I had to write SS6 a note for school explaining why he had been absent yesterday (he was sick). As I was putting the note into his folder, I saw that BM had written a check to the school for lunch $$. No problems there, right? Wrong! The check was written on an account that was in both BM and her DH’s name, but here’s the kicker – her name was still listed as ‘BM DH’s last name’. She signed the check with that name too. Wtf, seriously?! This idiot has been re-married for almost FOUR YEARS. She has legally changed her last name and uses it on all other documents. She’s obviously been to the bank recently because it has her new address listed on it. DH said that he was going to ask her about it because he HATES her using his last name. He doesn’t see that she deserves to be able to use it.
But I received some karmic revenge. BM’s a/c went out yesterday afternoon, and it was 90 degrees outside. It was after 5pm, so whoever she could have gotten to come out there would have charged her big time.

Sounds like something the BEHEMOTH would do!! Love the karma though. Still waiting for karma (other than three kids who are going to be doing nothing in life other than milking the system) will come back to her.
Send him to the bank to look
Send him to the bank to look at this account. It is in his name, he has access. Also, this is being reported to Credit Bureau's. Check his credit report. If she has been remarried, there is no reason to have an account with DH's name on it.
As for using the name, that I understand since they have kids together. Do I like it no....but, I understand it...
The account isn't MY DH's. It
The account isn't MY DH's. It is HER DH's. That crap wouldn't fly AT ALL, lol. She has her OLD name listed on the account (my DH's last name).
Regardless of having kids or not, if you've legally chosen to change your name, USE YOUR LEGAL NAME.
I'm wondering...could it be
I'm wondering...could it be old checks that she had printed before her legal name change went through? If it's only sending them to the school and the bank is aware of the name change they likely will do the transaction no problem?
As to the name thing-read a couple blogs down for my take on the whole name thing...
