November 2009 we added oldest SS to my cell phone plan so he could get an iphone. Deal was he paid $40 to us every month on or before the 15th. His bill actually costs us over $60 but we weren't going to split hairs. We wanted to help him get on his feet and get a phone. Every month he tries to dodge paying the bill yet he goes out drinking all the time and posts on FB, he buys himself expensive clothes and just bought himself a brand new Mustang.
I didn't want him to pay any more than originally agreed upon and on time, some of its money but a lot of it for me is the disrespect and the attitude we OWE his 24 year old ass a phone. So if he doesn't pay his bill to me by the 15th his phone is getting suspended and if he takes more than 2 days paying I'm shutting it off. Husband knows this and is in agreement. I'm not trying to get rich off my SS and what he pays doesn't even cover his portion of the bill, its just with me being laid off this is finally coming to a head. I've never liked the pay as I feel like it and what I want attitude he's had. He's also the one who sold an ATV that isn't paid for and i had to cash in my pension to get the bill current or Yamaha would have come to repossess my husbands bike (main cheap transportation in summer) and the missing ATV which would have landed SS in jail for theft. I'm pissed some about that but its water under the bridge he was younger and stupid when he did that. I don't think asking him to pay what he agreed upon on the phone on time is asking too much. If he were to get the phone on his own with the lowest minute package it'd cost him around 80 a month and the fact he always goes over on his data (we were grandfathered in on unlimited) his bill would be much higher. I'm sick of the skids costing us money and expecting to come take what they want or do what they want at our house. FOOT IS DOWN!!!
