I hope SD has not changed her mind about coming to our house.
SD told us, screamed it actually, that she was never coming back. DH has invited her to a movie a few times and she keeps refusing.
BM called yesterday and asked for cs a day early. DH asked if SD was coming this weekend and BM said "yes, but she only wants to stay friday night and saturday until supper." I was thinking how crappy it was that she was going to resume coming weekends when I logged into DS's facebook. I like to keep an eye on what the kids are saying. Anyway, DH's neice and DS are friends (they're in the same class and live nearby) so her posts show up on BS's wall.
It went like this:
SD "Hi, are you coming over to my house for the weekend again?"
Neice "yep, I will."
SD "Awesome, call me at home after school today."
Neice "ok"
I guess we won't know until tomorrow but I really thought she wouldn't be returning, I hope that DH and SD can have a relationship but just not at my house

Right there with you. SD14 left and now lives with mom. DH has seen her once in 9 months. She doesn't really respond to his requests to meet her. I don't really care if they have a relationship. This is her decision. I refuse to let her back in the house until she apologizes for the thousands of dollars in legal bills she caused as well as the lies.
The hard part for this is the game playing that she is doing with my husband. He didn't deserve the crap that his daughter gave him.

I never got a chance to
I never got a chance to update. SD called DH friday morning and told him she was not coming tha she was busy and couldn't make time to even go for ice cream or a movie with him. He seemed disgusted by the fact that she couldn't even spend an hour with him having an ice cream.
It is not an over night thing
It is not an over night thing it happens over time. It is the years of being crapped on that makes a sm feel the way she feels. You have no idea what has happened in her lofe to make a comment like that.
