The Brady Bunch
Why isn't real life like the Brady Bunch? Carol was a SM and the dad (can't remember his name right now) always backed her up. The kids and skids all behaved, got good grades, picked up after themselves.
I sometimes wish real life can be like tv life... lol
and if i had a housekeeper like Alice that would rock too..

Screw having a house keeper like Alice. I would want one who looked good in a maid outfit. }:)
But, I agree that blending a family with the first spouse is dead would seem easier at least on the surface than dealing with a PITA XW/XH.
I suppose competing with the fantasy of a deceased parent would make Sparenting potentially more difficult than competing with the tragically flawed surviving parents that many of our Skids idolize.
We are Sparents, we can rarely win. Even when the oppostition is dead.

Remember they were WIDOW / WIDOWER..... they did not have the drama of BM, BF.....AND they had a cook / housekeeper..... and that was back in the day when skids were more respectful!!!!

I do NOT want real life to be like the Brady Bunch. In reality Mr. Brady was gay and had AIDS, brothers and sisters were doin' it, and there were rumors the mother and son were doin' it. The oldest daughter was coked up and traded sex for drugs. I'm sure there's more, but this is just what I remember from VH1 this weekend hehe
