sometimes I think I need to stay away from StepTalk while I'm at work....

I was reading some posts about Child Support and Injured Spouse claims and all that jazz. It got me interested again because I never really could pin an answer down to how the "injured spouse" thing works and led me to do some "googling"...

What I found basically told me that BioBitch will get half of MY return even though Hubby did not work at all in 2009. What I read said that they will split the return right down the middle, giving half to BioBitch due to Hubby's arrears and half to me.

Now I'm mad and disappointed and in a bad mood. I want to go for a run but I can't because I'm stuck at my stupid job that I hate anyways.

We tried it both ways before finally filing. If I had filed "married-filing separately" I would have owed just about double of the return we are supposed to get. Filing separately wouldn't have allowed us to deduct the student loan interest I've paid or the energy efficient improvements we've made to our home either...which is another load of crap to me, but whatever.

I also have to wait at least 8 weeks for my return since we filed together. Filing seprately mean we couldn't claim the EIC making our return on a few hundred dollars. How do these people at part time jobs get $6000 returns? makes me think maybe i shouldn't work so hard.
interestingly last year we had to do teh same thing. The IRS kept 1/2 the return for CS BUT held it for 6 months before sending it to BM even thoguh we filled out the injured spouse form. So BM got $2000 right before christmas. Merry christmas to her non-working ass.

God will forgive me. It's his job.

Don't you love it? Redistribution of wealth. We get screwed twice because our wealth is distributed to lazy ass Wingnut and then we're taxed out the ass to support other lazy ass people.

That sounds similar to our BM, well except for the working part lol. Her husband was in Iraq in 2008, so on their 2009 return I guess they got around $9,000+ (three kids and he's the only one that "works"...I say "works" because he was in the national guard and when he was home instead of looking for a job he collected unemployment and applied for school/student loans and then withdrew from school, kept the money and is now in default on the loans...he is just as worthless as she is!)

They get all this money from the government for doing nothing and popping out kids they can't even begin to support because they are lazy and worthless (sorry, a bit pessimistic today). And then honest, hard working people are screwed over and over again. Grrr!

ha ha...I wish I could have enough money to be a sugarmama (crazy definitely lol).

After bills each month, I have around $300-$400 left for food/gas/miscellaneous stuff. We do not, in anyway live above our means (no cable, no internet at home, no buying "name brand" thins at the store...nada).

We had at one point thought about trying to get food stamps, just to help a little. We don't even qualify for that because I make TOO MUCH money. What a load of crap! Ugh..I hate money and the government. Sometimes it seems that if I were to pop out a few kids, quit my job, get on section 8/food stamps/LEAP/health care assistance/ and everything else that is offered I wouldn't have to work so hard to get ahead.

Does that even remotely seem "right" to you?!

No wonder people "live off the system". It obviously works or no one would be doing it!

Because biobitch didn't pay income taxes years ago (DH claims it was her responsibility) They have a huge debt. I used to always get a refund - haven't had one in years. Also you know those, oh what do they call them, stimulus checks - I have never seen one of those either because the IRS take everything and applies it to their debt. Not MY debt mind you.

ugh...BM does not allow FH to claim either child...even though he financially supports them and she does jack...he always ends up owing money. BS! I wonder what will happen when we actually tie the knot...I am going to be a business owner...I'm going to be comfortable...can she take my money? UGHHH SO FRUSTRATING! Also, if something would happen where FH could not work or pay CS would that fall on me? Does anyone know? I don't know how she has money to drink every Friday and Saturday night (maybe more) and get her nails and hair done - but she does not have money to buy snowboots...hmm..
