Need creative help.... SS17 is getting a lesson in being a sneaky SOB
Ok here is the deal.
My SS17 is a sneaky lil SOB.
Long story short I want to blow his mind, with how I will bust him for breaking the cell phone rules.
He has outsmarted me with his cell phone again.
The 1st time he outsmarted me was when I told him to give me his phone b/c he is grounded, he snagged the Sims card out of it. And put it into another phone and activated that phone.
Well right now he is not grounded from his phone.
But he does have a curfew with his phone. He needs to turn it in to me every night at 9:30pm
Well since I know his old tricks I check his phone for the Sims card to make sure it is there.
Well he has been taking naps and been real tired lately. Which is a sign he is up to late. this kid requires lots of sleep...
So I have been trying to figure out what the deal is...
So I tested the phone last night.
Sims card... CHECK
Phone on...CHECK
Hmmm... it says no signal...
Wonder why...
I will call it from my phone. It does not ring.
I will txt it see if it gets a txt. (NO TEXT)
I look into his txt messages and the last one was just before his bed time.
Everything seems to be in order here except the phone does not get service.
Then it hits me.
He has put in a bogus Sims card and has his real one in another phone in his room and all he needs to do is activate it, to that phone.
A little back ground on the phone.
This is payed for by his bio dad so I don't have access to the calling history on his phone. Well I do now, I called his dad and asked him if he would check it for me.
Other wise this would be handled differently.
The boy has done a little slight of hand here and I want to bust him in a way that blows his mind.

You could *67 the phone
You could *67 the phone after he has "turned" it in. See if he answers. Or you could created an AIM or Yahoo account and text it from there, with a girly screen with something like "Hey sexy how are you?" I don't know too many teenage boys that wouldn't reply to that!

IF you're trying to CATCH him you could also go to the cell phone provider's website.... like AT&T or T-Mobile.... or whatever.... go to the website and you can TEXT him from the computer.... you can enter in ANY phone number you want as the response number and/or you can also type in ANY name you want as the person sending the message.... so like Mean said, pretend you're a girl interested in him.... see if he responds.... if so.... YOU'VE CAUGHT THE LITTLE BUGGER!

MeanOleMe is correct, with a number, however, creating a google email account that he would not recognize is very easy to do. Every cell phone number is associated with an email also. For instance, if he is with att go to that site and find out what the email would be.....usually something like 5555555555@txt.att.net, so send an email to that number and they can then reply back to you.

I will emplament that into the SS17 ROAST...that's what I am thinking this will be.
I got visions of a hidden camera or just a blaiten video camera and busting him on video and creeating a whole drawn out embarasing thing on how he was busted.
And while still on camera giving him 2 options.
ONE; he looses the phone far all time, till he gets a job and pays for his own service.
Or
TWO; He posts this video up on his MySpace/U-tube page for all to see how he got busted.
C'mon! he turns 18 in Jan.

Take his bedroom door off the hinges. He wants privacy? too bad. He's 17...he doesn't get privacy until he's an adult. Search his backpack as soon as he gets home.
Does he have a lock on his bedroom door? take it off....again, he'll NOT be happy that he suddenly no longer has any privacy.

My parents took the door off
My parents took the door off of mine and my sisters room in HS and we shaped up pretty quick. So traumatic for two teenage girls. It may make an impact that he is not in control of his life until he moves out. This has been very educational for me - I didn't know he could do that with the SIMS card.
