I'm nosey- reading DH's texts. I always do, because of skid issues. Only way I can stay in the "know" and make sure I am prepared for any surprises.
DH and MSD are texting back and forth talking about meeting up for a visit.
At one point DH is like :
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
MSD replies back:
I love you too!
In all honesty if I hadn't known he was texting MSD, I would have thought he was texting a mistress.
I use XO a lot. I'm just that kind of person. But not with my dad. Personally for me XO is reserved for DH and my girl friends.
Honestly DH isnt very good at showing his feelings or emotion, so it was kind of surprising that he even sent XOs and lots of them.
It didnt really bother me, I just found it odd. At times he just shows emotions in really weird ways.

Yep- right story different SD. LOL That was OSD. BM's BF commented on her post about her new car "nice car babe".
Um yeah I totally have a pet name for an adult child of my GF who I have known for 2 years and only 6 months of those years she lived in the same state as me. And she is married.
Not surprised though. BM's last man lived in the basement because he liked to sleep with the dogs over sleeping with BM. As told to me by the skids of course.
I use XO with my bios, and
I use XO with my bios, and right now to my DD21 who deployed I do send that in letters. Idk, just different I guess.

Does it make a difference with the pet names and the XOXO when its opposite sex parents? At a certain age?
Sometimes I will end my texts to my mom with XO. I would never do that with my Dad.

My DH has lots of pet names
My DH has lots of pet names for the SD's and though its sickeningly sweet and kinda irritating I just let it go because he's always called them by those names.
What I do have an issue with is when he uses the same pet names for me that he uses for them and vise-versa.
He calls me baby girl sometimes and yesterday called SD10 baby girl. I told him straight up "That's NOT ok.Pick a pet name and use it for one person.Dont call the skids the same thing you call me,thats nasty." Gives me the heebie jeebies.
