Mother's Day...
Suprisingly enough my Mother's Day was actually pretty nice. I didn't get anything because my daughter is obviously too young... and my SO isn't one to buy gifts. He is the type to give me cash and say "hey spend it on yourself." To be totally honest, I really don't need anything to feel special. SO woke up with DD and I and we spent the entire day on the floor playing. We spent the whole day together just the three of us! SS was with his mom so the day was stress free, relaxing, and much needed. I loved having the time with SO and DD and not worry about a thing. There was no drama from BM, no back-talk from SS, no bickering between the in-laws or my family. It was peaceful. I would take that any day over flowers or a card. Obviously when DD gets older I will cherish every little card she gives me but as far as SO getting me anything I would much rather have the time spent together like yesterday. I love SS and I know I enjoyed having him around for Mother's Day in the past, but with this being my first one as a true Mother, It was nice being able to focus on my little family and to be able to spend it with the one person who truly makes me a MOTHER!
