The Family Meeting - Non-negotiable rules.

They were all 1/2 hr late for the meeting & bs brought his gf along. Seeing as she is always around we decided to let her stay for the meeting. Though if she made any unwelcome comments we also planned to ask her to leave.
DH & I had written rules on large cardboard sheets to hang on the walls. Non-negotiable rules Wink

It's going to be one hell of a family meeting this weekend!

It just keeps getting worse! Trying to plan the new rules DH & I plan to enforce at the family meeting this weekend.Things are looking good and we are very much agreed on the issues that need to be addressed.
So...I go out for my lunch break and DH & I discuss more of the rules & how to handle any riduculous comments and accusations etc. anyway I'll blog about that later.

Yep as a BM i have dared to brave the forum of the step parents.
Not to criticise though. I genuinely admire the situations you are all willing to be in to be with the persin that you love. A lot of you trying so gard to live and support the skids tgat came along with them.

So I've spent the day researching the various issues within my family. Mostly the serious issue of violence with my 19yr BS.
Thanks to a bit of advice on my other post, I have been motivated even more to begin to deal with the situation tonight! As soon as I get home! No More wishy washy parenting. They are taking advantage of me & I know it. And ruining my marriage & their little sisters childhood.

The search begins

Today I begin my search for peace within our family. So much has happened since yesterday alone that has triggered a desperate need to resolve the issues plaguing what could be a happy, functioning, blended family unit. I'm sad, stressed and torn between my Bios and HS (the stepfather)(sorry not too sure on the abbreviations yet.
I spent my morning train ride searching the internet for step family advice and came oaccros this site(phew) I also sent the link to my HS so that he may have a place to vent & get advice.
