BM's Check....lost?
We gave BM a check on January 19th for $15 to reimburse her for DH's 1/2 of some medical expenses. She was expecting it to be a check for $45 but due to some expeses that DH had incurred in the same month that she owed us 1/2 of, the difference was only $15. So, we gave her another copy of our receipt along with a written explanation (written and signed by my DH) of the difference and the check. We had already e-mailed her a copy of our receipt the week before.
So, here we are almost a full month later and BM hasn't cashed that check. I have a couple of theories.....anyone care to make a guess?
1) BM lost the envelope/letter/check in the mound of papers that constantly cover the kitchen and entry way tables (according to the skids they don't ever eat at the table because there's too much stuff in the way)
2) BM noticed that WifeVersion2.0 wrote and signed the check so she decided that she didn't need the $15 bad enough to cash and refuses to cash something given to her by the 'New and Improved' wife even though she really does need the money.
3) BM has won the lottery and no longer needs the money and will now be able to afford her lifestyle and kids with zero help from either of her baby's daddys.
4) BM is so impressed with how quickly we reimbursed her that she has decided to frame it and hang it on her bedroom wall.
My guess is #2.

My guess is #2 too. For one
My guess is #2 too. For one most people don't 'lose' a check especially if she was expecting more she would have opened it and got very pissed! So them back to she wouldn't have 'lost' a check that she was that pissed about. LOL }:)
she is keeping it to screw up
she is keeping it to screw up your bank account. typical. our bm was too greedy to do that when i signed the checks.
now if i have to give her extra money, i send it online through cs disbursement unit and it goes to her bank account.
