BM and H decided that SD9 (PEBT) would stay with us another month – I JUST GET INFORMED!

I didn’t sign up for this bs, really. This child was going to visit us 3 or 4 times a year for 2 weeks at a time. Last year around end Nov she was coming for a 3 week visit. Then, suddenly, 2 days before she arrives, H tells me that BM wants her to stay with us until the beginning of Feb, because she wants to go and work in the UK until then. I just about had a heart attack – this meant that she would not only be with us for the 1st part of our (summer) holiday with H’s family but also for the 2nd part of the holiday with my family at my granny’s house near the beach (a trip that my mother and I can only take once a year).

Anyway, H doesn’t see any problem with that and he’s just too happy to have his daughter with him and so there’s basically no discussion. This child irritated the crap out of everyone, with things like calling “daddy” about 3 billion times a day and only talking to Daddy – she’d call daddy, daddy from the back seat of the vehicle to ask him stupid things like what the time was, when my mother and I were sitting right in front of her.

Well, it turns out that BM changed her mind twice after that and SD stayed with us until end of March (4 months). She was back with BM for 3,5 months and then came back to us before mid July this year “for 8 weeks”. I engraved 7 Sept in my brain – well H phones me the other day to say BM wants her to stay until 5 Oct and no matter how many objections I raise, that’s just how it’s going to be. BM says it, and it’s done. We’ll have to take another trip with SD for our school reunion in Sept (700km away) and pay extra for accommodation etc.

I don’t even feel like going back home from work in the afternoon any more. The only reason a do go with a smile is because my DD2 is waiting for me.
