So Ready for the Holidays to be Over!
Feeling really sad and blue today...for no good reason, really.
YSD is still here. DH is working today and I'm working from home. YSD has been watching hours of mindless reality TV this week and doing zip around the house...so I set up my laptop in the living room this morning and have been working there to claim back my space. Why is it that these teen skids think they own the place when they come over? When I was a teen...if my parents were home...I would never have dreamed of just lounging on the couch and watching hours on end of ANTM or Jersey Shore nonsense...or really anything. I guess because I had respect for the fact that I wasn't the only person in the home.
At any rate. YSD slept until nearly noon and went straight to her mom's house with barely a word to me on her way out...just telling me where she's going. Woot! Sure thing, sweetheart. Clog up her couch and living room all day.
I have to do a gift exchange with all skids and DH tonight and I'd rather be with my family. Hate this time of year so much.

Hang in there, it's almost over. I know how you feel, DH's oldest son tends to act as if this is his place and DH and I are just visiting.
You did great by claiming back your space. Trust me I know how that is too.
